Hot dip galvanizing is HOT. It may affect the
heat treat of the tank. I wouldn't do it.
And it's not cheap. There's typically a $50
mininum (and that a 1997 price).

And the purpose of galvanizing is to provide
electrolytic protection. The cold galvanizing will
still provide that even after it's scratched.
