EAN 36 is a good mix too. 35 is slightly better, if you want to adhere to a 1.4 ppO2 rule.

30/30 is dumb mix for diving but a great mix for deco starting at 130 ft. But not for diving at 130 ft. Once again, somebody has misinformed you, and you were apparently too lazy to find out more on your own, and now you believe something that is not true.

I am surprised that someone with your Stanford education in not inclined to research more things on your own. But not too surprised.
