Were these people total rookie divers to boat diving and not used to boats?

I'm not sure who were rookies besides me. I did talk to a lady that said she had been diving for 20 years and not seen it like this. She was one of the ones that got off the boat.

When I woke up Sat. morning I hesitated to even leave my house because it was pouring down rain and it was raining all the way to Pedro. It wasn't really raining at the dock though. It was mine and everyone that got on the boat, decision to go. I'm sure deep down everyone knew it was going to be a rough ride over. I knew it would be.

As Elaine said, the captains know their boats. I don't think he would have put anyone in jepordy if he felt it was going to be dangerous.
I'm a new diver and I didn't feel like I was in any danger....just sick.

IMHO I feel it was mainly the sea sickness that made people get off the boat.
The guy that was the sickest of all of us and puked all the way there, stayed on the boat and enjoyed a pretty good day a diving.

All I can say is....I'm really glad I stayed. I would have really missed out.
