What I couldn't figure is if they would have just processed the reservations everyone could have been on the boat and been happy. Even if the guy didn't have a reservation, but I think that in this case he did, the boat was sitting there long enough that no one would have had to miss it. I've sat on many of the Express boats that leave 2 to 3 minutes late because they are taking on late arrivals.
They were also telling people that the boats were booked and sporadically denying further reservations weeks in advance. The boats weren't full. The Long Beach boat wasn't full, the San Pedro boat had space. I don't understand it.
Next year I might book way ahead and treat myself to the helicopter ride:) It leaves later and gets you there much faster. The on site employee is much nicer too.
