I was just talking to Ross about it. We were there last weekend and the seal? wasn't there. It has obviously been dead for more than a week, so I think someone may have seen if floating on the surface and decided to sink it. My first instinct was that it was the result of some idiot like the one in Redondo Beach a couple of months ago that killed a sea lion and sank it with fishing weights.
