Trust me I know how boring long deco hangs can be but did you know that hanging on an anchor line can also get you bent regardless of how well you ran profile...
Also if the anchor line parts and you happen to be hanging on to the part attached to the boat you can be dragged to the surface, not good with a deco obligation. Probably more of an issue if you were one of the darwin candidates who clip themselves off to the anchor line with a "jon" line.
But in any event hanging on the anchor line during deco is not a good thing.
Don't hang on the anchor line...
