Frankly I feel bad about it. Fishing can be an environmentally balanced way of life for
people. It's just that wild crops do not fit into our current capitalist economic systems
and our fishing technology just got too good.
Do you think that the fishing won't recover enough to have a balance between fish stocks and fishers? I was hoping that the new laws would lead to a sustainable fishery. I mean, there will be less fishers, but there should still be a healthy fishery if the stocks recover and take
is restricted to sustainable levels.
Still, you're nuts to want to try a dive operation (or any business) without an education.
For a while, there was a dive boat out of Motro Bay run by Rudy. He was smart and from a long time family of local fishers and charter boat operators. He set up the Princess pretty well for diving and could do fishing anytime by removing gear setups made for the divers. They just didn't get enough divable days to make it work.
Enjoy the diving, seahunt
