I actually have mangroves growing indoors in Seattle, I have had the hardest time keeping Avicennia alive though. I received some avicennia marina var. resinifera in the mail, but they all died, and dalso some avicennia germinans. I have plenty of Rhizophora mangle that thrive indoors here though and some have grown a foot in a 5 months (which is fast for indoors and no air circulation) My guess is thats the kind of mangroves you have. Are yours outdoors? If they are then I may be a little more curious....
