Hi,
I just read the above post and didn't know about that conflict the board had earlier. It's interesting; I've long felt that this sport seems to have more then its fair share of "Holier then Thou" attitudes among its practitioners. Don't get me wrong, I've met a lot of nice people (especially on this board!), but I've also met a lot of people in the dive world who come across as condescending, unfriendly, and contemptuous of other divers, especially towards ones who are relatively inexperienced.
Has anybody else noticed this? Perhaps this sort of personality goes hand in hand with the personalities who enjoy diving.
