A "buddy waiver" is ridiculous! If you read the suit they're basing their case on a "murder" and not negligence on the part of the buddy. That's very different. It's pretty apparent that the lawyer had to find some sort of angle to get a suit filed. Obviously, the buddies inability to assist his panicked buddy wasn’t enough of a "crime" to warrant a $1.4Mil suit!
