I wish the agencies would reconsider their cert levels and require more dives in various conditions (including beach) before awarding anything other then a license to learn. That's why I like the GLACD / LACounty programs like ADP, UICC, and the 3-R's. With the 3-R's you learn something new each time and its a bargain. Just don't look for a shiny sticker as proof of attendance...not important...its the knowledge you get!
Telling someone they are 'advanced', 'rescue' (or even an 'instructor') is a disservice to the person.
