I think Catalina is a horrible spot for a artifical reef. There are not many areas that are ideal and the slope in most is steep.
I think a far better location would be in Santa Monica Bay. There are ast areas of almost flat bottom that would make a great location for a wreck. It would also add a destination somwehre besides that alrteady over used island of Catalina.
