I've left Marina del Rey at 4 am in pitch black in a 14 converted trailerable lakeboat with a 40 hp outboard and did some dives at San Barbara Island in seas bigger then 10 feet on the way back from there. It's fun ducking startled seagulls.
I've been diving at the boilers off Nic in seas bigger then that too...what's the big deal? Do you close your tornado shutters and run down into your nuclear bomb shelter when the news media sees mist in the air and puts the whole city on STORM WATCH!?
