I'm surprised by how small that net is. Is is only part of what they found? something that size could be part of a larger net (unlikely, they are tough) or something for someone doing research (again, unlikely in a marine mammal area particularly if it was unmarked) or just a small net someone was poaching with.
Ugly.
I hate longlines and drift nets.
