If you spear fish. I believe Lake Mead is still open to spear fishing for stripped bass. Although I believe stripped bass should have never been put in any of the Colorado River lakes. They are there and you can't get rid of them now.
Stripped bass eat just about everything. There is not enough natural food for them. So fish and game want to keep their numbers down.
I am planning on diving in Lake Powell this summer. Utah fish and game has opened stripped bass up to spear fishing. Because there is not enough food for them. It is even against the law for fishermen to throw them back. Yes, I will be taking my spear gun. Happy to help out fish and game in any state ;-)
