I visited a couple of the wrecks. They are nice, but they are deteriorating artificial reefs now and that is about it. The wrecks were mostly pilfered out long ago. There were still some bullets left at the Schurz, and, many divers brought some up to take home. However, they run trips there day after day during the summer, and, I doubt if there are even many of those left today. If some of the original stuff had been left there, they could be really neat places to dive. We are lucky to have the marine life that grows on our wrecks because it makes the remains much more interesting to look at.
