Oil Rig Eureka, April 23,2005 Photos from Dave Nesham

Dave sent two of his photos from our trip on the Second Stage to the Oil Rigs last weekend. One of the things that I have learned from diving with Dave is that the "empty" shells often are homes for small fish and critters. This is a photo of two blennies that he found in one of the mussel shells. On dive days with visibility that favor marco photography this is something to look for. The Blennies duck back into their shell homes when they get spooked so they take patience to find and to photograph.

Dave was also able to capture a photo of the small and quick Flag Rockfish that we found. This is what they look like and they hang out in about 20 feet of water.
