In most cases a PFO is not a health concern and most who have one live their lives without even knowing the thing exists. Hence, prophylactic repair isn't typically covered by insurance. Hyperbaric situations (except for explosive decompression in airplanes) are voluntary for sport divers and most divers with a PFO don't get bent. Unless you can convince your physician the PFO poses a health risk in your everyday activities, my guess is you're on your own.
PFO repair also involves risk.
