SAN DIEGO, California (6 May 2005) -- A group of scuba divers were rescued off San Diego at about 11:30 pm after their dive boat capsized.

San Diego lifeguards who responded to a distress call pulled eight divers from the water who were clinging to the capsized vessel.

One of the divers managed to call for help before the boat capsized.

The group was diving on the wreck of the Yukon, a 366-ft Canadian destroyer sunk off San Diego as an artificial reef.

San Diego Liveguard Lt. Nick Lerma said that no one was injured when the vessel capsized.
