as a fisherman. It makes me furious. It gives the sport a black eye. I know if I was on a charter boat and it pulled up next to any underwater park or reserve. I would throw a major temper tantrum. Fishing next to or at a underwater park or reserve. Is no sport at all. Nothing more than fishing in a barrel with total disregard for the marine life.
Most non-divers wouldn't know a underwater park or reserve. If it jumped up and bit them on the nose. Most fisherman don't scuba dive. Which is no excuse for such behavior. Education for non-diver fishermen would help. Stronger legal protection for Casino Point is clearly needed.
I visit this fishing website often. Most of the fishermen there are very responable and have a interest in protecting the enviroment and promoting the sport. I would suggest you post this message here. Or if you like I will.
