For the record, Josh was not operating the boat as a six pack at the time accident. This was a friends and family trip. I was a diver/passenger on the trip.

The boat was 22' Radon (I believe) with twin outboards and a removable side panel/door for dive entry/exit. I don't know much about boats, but the load of 8 people and gear did not seem unreasonable to me at the time. Was it? The boat did not appear to be riding low in the water or having trouble with the seas. We had problems with increased wind chop when we returned from the dive and re-boarded. Small waves washed onto the deck as we re-boarded with the Starboard door panel off. Apparently the bildge pump could not keep up with this or failed.
