Extra lead? I used to dive with 22lbs...on the CCR I dive with 20lbs.

I only added a few more pounds of weights switching from a farmer john and attached hood jacket to a drysuit.

Some people say they are comfortable temperature wise in wetsuits. For the rest of the masses who are miserable, until you haev tried a drysuit, you just won't realize how big a mistake wetsuits are.

As to price, you can get nice quality drysuits off E-Bay lightly used for $300-$500.

Right now there is a OS Systems drysuit on E-Bay that a woman who was 5'5" and 148lbs wore. It is nearing the auction end and is at $220 with the undergarment.

There is a new Moby drsyuit, a Viking Pro 2500 with 3 dives on it, a Bare trilam HD Tech drysuit, etc, etc.

I just don't do maintenance other then occassionally waxing the zipper on my Viking. Plus I'm too sexy for a wetsuit. ;)
