You can scrub it with Alumiprep 33, which can be found at marine supply stores or auto body supply stores.
Alumiprep 33 is an acid that will completely eat away all the corrosion and stop at the fresh aluminum. Follow the directions exactly for reducing the product and be sure to rinse the area off with fresh water while the alumiprep solution is still wet.
That's my advice, take it or leave it.
