I have been up close and personally with just about every kind of wildlife in California. I have had bears and mountain lions on my property. I have had bears in my house. Where I live and work there are Golden Eagles, Osprey, and Bald Eagles. All three are impressive in the wild. The Bald Eagle really impresses the heart. I do not know if it is patriotic pride. There is just something really special about a bald eagle in the wild.
Of course, I never have a camera with me when I need one.
