I had scheduled a beach dive for my OW class for today and I've been watching the surf conditions at Shaw's all week on Laguna Sea Sports' web page, which is a great resource. However, it has been saying the surf is 1 ft, and this morning we had 2-4 ft sets, with occasional (e.g. every 15 min or so) 6-8 ft sets. Cancelled the OW class dives, came home, and today's dive conditions page still said the surf was 1 ft as of mid morning, when I left. Just a caveat, I guess, on either the vagaries of internet reports or of mother nature.
