Scientists were taken aback with the discovery that a north American Homo Erectus nicknamed "Dave" has employed a rather complex method of communication. "It appears that the cute little fellah has mastered pressing a series of switches that relates to an alpha numeric code" said Prof Max Bottomtime, "he has this gadget that broadcasts these in a series that other members of his species can detect".
Although scientists are not certain what the communication is about, many have postulated that it may be sociological commentary. "It is really amazing that this species can communicate at all" another scientist continued.
