I have done it, but never more than scals at a time. I took then with a very good friend of mine
off yet another friend's boat off PV during a red
season.

It's funny, but I have never noticed a red tide that far offshore at the rigs with exception to the most very recent crossings - about 11 miles
between Angel's gate and the eastern end of Cat.
another friend of mine who is a marine
micrbiologist said that unless you eat a whole
mess of red tide taken bi-valve filter feeders in
a very short amount of time, everything outside of
the LA/LB breakwater is OK in lite moderation.
