We're goint to attempt to photograph the elusive dock. I'm now having doubts that it was the loading platform from the old Marineland pier. About twenty feet inshore from the platform are six wooden posts, about 12" diameter sawed off just above the bottom. When I shot a liftbag and surfaced to see where the platform is located, it was well beyond where the end of the pier was. I'm wondering if it was an offshore platform of some kind. With the floatation tanks, wooden deck and tires attached to the sides of the dock it would seem to be made for boats to tie up to. I don't know why the posts would be that far offshore.
