We dove looking for this thing four times. Every dive was enjoyable even if all we saw was sand.
But today. Again we were swimming endlessly hoping that Max hadn't been spinning a yarn, and that Carlos's underwater sonar thing was going to work.
Then there it was. First a dim black shape, then a bigger shape. Then... a near religious moment. The first thing I saw were these large pipes welded into what looked like a Christian cross. These were the rope tie off points for this thing. WOW... What a first impression.
The structure is not very big. Maybe 40x40x10 with lots of places to swim through.
The final discovery gave me a small glimpse of how Chatterton felt when he found that German submarine.
