This was my third trip with the 5060. It has a better lens the the D-40 and the histogram features enable much better exposures.

Did you use your zoom capability to sneak up on the gobys? yes, full zoom with macro focus mode plus a crop of the image

How much do you rely on TTL for metering? I use it most of the time. The INON slave function is not perfect, so I often need to tweek the exposure up or down using the stobe exposure setting on the camera.

do you use the TTL read as a starting point and then vary things from there? sort of - I generally start with the strobe exposure set at -1 and move it up or down depending on the picture.
