After a while you learn many of the dive sites. It is just like learning your neighborhood but it is a little harder in 30 foot or less visibility. Learning the terrain only takes a couple of dives at a site. I know where a lot of different critters live, and have some that I specifically visit when I'm in their neighborhood. I have also gotten better at picking the areas where I'm likely to find specific types of things at new dive sites.

You can always find new things at dive sites. You never know for certain what you are going to see on any particular dive.
