I've seen it when there is lots of light, such as the day I shot the video those captures are from. I've also been there when it looks like a night dive at noon. As Kendall mentioned, there are much better wrecks. The Catalina wrecks don't have the colorful life attached to them the way mid-channel wrecks do. Perhaps the clear water at Catalina doesn't have enough nutrients to support a large filter-feeding population as Palos Verdes does.
