First, congratulations for your approach. If you’re not trained as a California diver, it’s very wise to seek assistance. You may have noticed that California is a large state with a long coastline. It might be useful to name a city or area, which you want to dive from. I believe that any of the hundreds of dive shops and numerous dive boats up and down the coast would be glad to work with you, especially when you contact them before hand. Many have websites and the dive magazines, phone books and training agencies have listings for most areas.
