Never in our wildest dreams did we think we'd have to post an update this quickly, this early on in our campaign.

Here are the latest results of the Michael Kane $10K Challenge. Thanks to a flurry of donations, we are very close to $8000. And the best thing about the Challenge is that every dollar donated gives any diver in distress that much better of a fighting chance to make it through a diving accident through the efforts of our Chamber and the dedicated crew members who so ably serve. As you may know, Michael Kane (the accountant, not the Oscar®-nominated actor) will match the first $10,000 we raise dollar-for-dollar.

And even though we are closer to meeting Michael's challenge, the overall challenge of keeping our Chamber financially healthy remains. You donations insure that SoCal divers (and those visitors who dive our waters as well) have a vital safety net available to them in case the unthinkable becomes reality.

Here are the latest contributors, along with the full list and grand total. (Not everyone gives $100 - many give more, a few give less - so don't wonder why the math of "contributors X $100" doesn't work out.)
