We have managed to crack the magic $10,000 mark in the Michael Kane $10K Challenge.

For those of you who don't know, Michael (better known as MHK on the Net) has offered to put up $10,000 of his own money is we could raises an equal amount as part of our Chamber Day fundraising efforts (an annual event to benefit the Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber, May 3 this year - website is at "http://wrigley.usc.edu/hyperbaric/cd2000.htm").

IT'S TIME TO PAY UP, MICHAEL!!!!!!!!!!!

But we've got over six weeks still to go. Why stop at $10,000? Can we hit $15,000?? $20,000??? Is there someone else out there with $5K or $10K who would like to help us extend the Challenge?

In any case, the need for funds for our Chamber is always very real. And, to be serious for a moment, there's nothing we'd like better than not to need a Chamber. But the reality is that divers sometimes make mistakes and the Chamber can literally mean the difference between life and death.

If you dive in SoCal waters, you know the vital safety net that our Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber provides. If you don't dive in SoCal, you should still think of making a contribution because every dollar we raise gives some poor diver fighting for his life a better chance at coming through the ordeal successfully.

So as, we always say . . . WHO'S NEXT??????
