i have seen you take scallops on some dives, but
you are CERTAINLY not taking the limit each time
you go diving and you, of course, you do not take
more than the limit.

i have no qualms at all when it comes to hunting/fishing
for one's dinner (heck, i see the fishermen at the
piers all the time, though i do realize they probably
don't compare to the commercial fisheries either).

your point is well taken, but i was really arguing
the extreme, insatiable side of the dive hunters.

why must every single dive site be open to hunting??!!
what's wrong w/leaving a few sites virgin from the hunters--
COMMERCIAL AND SPORT?

i believe there indeed needs to be a compromise, but
i question whether the hunters agree w/such a reasonable
conclusion.

well, do you hunters out there believe in compromise...?...
if so, steve's right: now's the time to prove our
worthiness as a COMPLETE dive community.

[[re:the oil co's interests, no, i'm not THAT naive
about their 'altruistic' nature. i just don't think
that by them forcing the oil rigs to remain marine
preserves hurts our interests in the least. yeah,
so they don't want to pay for cleaning up their
work, but if the rigs CAN remain intact w/o threat
of pollution, then fine, let them off the hook on this
one...]]

i hope i've made myself a little bit more clear...
