At the risk of making this sound like closing the door after the horse has left the barn . . .

You should have gone to your local dealer.

We (dealers) deal with the mfgs all the time on issues like this. We know who has clout. We know who to call. We can get the local rep in on it. We know the service manager. We know the general manager. We can threaten to delay payments owed on merchandise if the situation isn't resolved. We can threaten to drop the line. In other words, we've probably got a little more clout than an individual does.

And even if you'd bought the gear on-line, though we may not like it, a reputable shop will do everything they can to help you get it properly serviced. It doesn't do anyone any good to have you pissed off.

If you'd like to e-mail me privately and give me all the details, I'd be more than happy to check on this for you. (Or you could go to your local shop and enlist their aid.)
