Dive shop loyalty? You have no obligations...
If i take my business to a shop, i expect the very
best price and sevice they can provide me with,
no bs, no games...regardless if this is my first
time in their store or my 100th. For them,
this would be "good business sense" and
a method of building repeat customers.
Because this shop once provided me with a
"good value", if I ever need something in the future,
I will CONSIDER purchasing from them again.
It is a way to get me back in the door so
they can work for a sale.
But they don't get my loyalty just because
they certified me (the instructor did that, not
the shop), or because they gave me some
freebies. No shop will ever get my loyalty,
"that is for the dogs", but offer me a "good
value" and they will get my business.
My suggestion would be to shop around
and buy from who offers you the best
value and respects your decision as a
hard working consumer and value-minded
diver. Business is business...and like them,
you gotta work hard for your money...
(don't you?)
happy dives with your new gear...
