How much is your time worth in your chosen profession? We have a $900 minimum at my place of employment! It covers teh overhead and makes it worth our while to stop what we are doing to take care of somebody. Fortunately, we do not serve the general public, and our custoemrs can afford us, but here is an interesting question for you.

If you had the problem and the worker said "That'll be 69 cents" would you have had the decency to hand him the five and say "Keep the change, and thank you for helping me out by installing the o-ring correctly."? I'll bet not. Not that I work for tips, but the lack of gratitude in the diving community is amazing of late. It is like a bunch of divers were transplanted from New York City or the Jearsey shore. It is not how we were raised in my neighborhood of So Cal.
