Replacing an O-ring, or a burst-disk?

What actually blew, the O-ring, or the burst-disk? Either way, I don't know about you guys, but I've always got replacements in my dive bag for most equipment emergencies. And as for the knowledge it take to replace? ...'C-mon, are you serious?
