I suppose it could be cool though. For sure you could be confident that few if any people had ever been there. Depending on the commercial fishing pressure there might really be some big Lings and other stuff out there. I suspect that you could discover quite a few new species as well, particularly encrusting life. OTOH these would be VERY advanced dives even by tech standards. In addition to everything we have in Monterey (cold, low vis, big swells etc) you would add possible strong currents and you would be a very long way away from rescue.
