I'm writing from Thailand so don't know if you asked a specific question of the Andamans but....I was there about two months ago and it was very rough so they cancelled the diving for two days -a friend went before that and said it was just fair because of the visibility. There are only three dive operators there so you can't really be too choosey -they are all in Port Blair and I've heard mixed stories about all of them -too bad they aren't on small islands which are absolutely fantastic -the snorkeling on the islands is even awesome -sharks and all....the prices are pretty comparable to everywhere but no special service....hope you have fun! If you go to Havelock stay in one of the huts right on the water!!
