Thanks to a flurry of activity, we not only cracked $17,000 but now has a shot at $18K. Our fervent hope is that before Chamber Day on May 3, we can reach $20,000 with the Michael Kane Challenge. For those who don't know, Michael has put up $10,000 of his own money and challenge us (the diving community) to match it or exceed it. best of all, ALL the funds raised here (including Michael's $10K seed money) go directly to help fund the Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber, a vital safety net for those who dive Southern California waters, as well as a facility that strives to teach and educate about diving safety issues.
If you'd like to contribute (and we can't do it without you), you can either reply to this e-mail address, or call Reef Seekers Dive Co., the coordinating store, at 310/652-4990. We're happy to accept cash, check, or credit cards.
