I was recently re-certified and trying to go as much as possible. I live in the SF Bay area and I've been going on the boats in Monterey... but most of the people I've buddied up with are from out of town. I'm also looking for buddies to go shore diving (trying to save on the expense of boat fees every weekend).
I'm going to Salt Pointe this weekend for an AOW class and hoping to meet some people then. I'm still renting some, but buying equipment as fast as possible. Down to just needing my regs, computer and tanks (I know... but I have my BC and wetsuit... it's a start).
So let me know if you're in the Northern California area Dan... otherwise if anyone else is interested in grabbing a dive on the weekend... let me know.
