Ken:
The Greater Los Angeles Council of Divers, in conjunction with the Los Angeles Underwater Instructors Association, will start their year 2000 Rips, Rocks, and Reefs (3R's) Program next month. Once a month, we visit a popular beach diving location in the Los Angeles/Orange County and teach you how to safely dive that site. Entries and exits (without scuba gear and half or less your normal weights). It is a great program if you want to learn new sites, improve your diving skills, get to meet other divers, or just brush up on your skills.
We do a barbeque afterwards, so there will be plenty of opporunities to chat with the instructors and other divers.
Our May dive will be Saturday, May 20th, at Leo Carillo beach near the LA/Ventura county line. Saturday June 17th will be at Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro (with a tour of the Aquarium afterwards).
