A friend of mine and I are about to plunge into the cold waters of the beaches of Santa Cruz and Monterey. We would like to find a spot that offers some scenery and visibility underwater around here. Anybody have any ideas? Is there anything beautiful underwater worth diving for in this area? What about abalone? Are all the good abalone fields mostly up north around Ft. Bragg?
