There are leapord sharks. I have caught several of them over the years surf fishing at RAT beach and off the Manhattan Beach pier.
I caught a hammerhead shark off the Manhattan Beach pier in 1971. There has also been several small (8-10 ft) great whites caught off the Manhattan Beach pier over the years. However I am personally unaware of tiger sharks in local waters. If they are here, they are very uncommon. The water here is a bit cold for them.
My last dive at San Clemente Island in March I saw soupfin sharks on three of my four dives. On a dive near the end of the runway a large (7ft 150 lb) soupfin swam less than ten feet from me.
