Hope this is not too late: Join my group (but I can't make it) at Old Marineland, Palos Verdes, at 8AM on Saturday morning. There should be four or five kayak divers, planning on a two tank dive to Pt. Vicente (about 30 minutes paddle) for scallops, with a following BBQ on the parking lot.
Bring all the gear you've got, plenty of tethers, a second tank, if you have, and get some experience while seeing a great dive site as well.
Wish I could be there myself.
