A number of years ago I went throught the LA
County Advanced Diver Program. Simply stated, for
the cost, there is not another diving program
that will come close to it. The same can be said
about their Underwater Instructor Certification
Class (UICC). I went through both of them a
number of years ago.
There are two reasons the cost is so low ... it is
partially funded by LA County and the LA County
Underwater Instructors donate their time for free.
I personally taught two ADP classes and one UICC.
If I move back to LA in mid-July from Alaska as
planned I will likely help out.
If you take the class, I'm sure you will not be
disappointed. You'll learn a lot, do a variety
of beach dives from various sites, meet a lot of
good divers and new friends.
