The Beach Hopper II is a nice boat and Ed Cooper is an excellent skipper. I recommend it.
I also do a lot of diving on the Cypress Charters boats and I like them as well. The 2 Cypress Charters boats are bigger and perhaps more comfortable but the small size and limited load on the Hopper allows Ed to more closely tailor to trip to the desires and experinece of the folks he has on board.
Vis in Carmel today was about 25 feet. Reports from Monterey Bay were more like 5-8 feet. It was quite windy and we had some nasty wind chop which made boating uncomfortable but the swell wasn't bad so there wasn't too much surge.
